Satisfied with this place, spent 1 relaxing nights here and will be back. Our apartment was beautiful close to with great views as well as the highlands. There were 1 luxury bathrooms. Everything was simply excellent. The setting was beautiful.

The host, John, was fantastic, and this place is in a wonderful location despite a bit of chilly weather outside.

The property was clean and the enclosed area for pets was a nice touch. the parking facilities were as described and secure entry was a plus. the bathroom looked luxurious at first glance, although the underfloor heating was only partial and the grouting could have been better. the communication from the hosts was fast and thorough.

The decor was not to our taste and seemed to be made up of poorly upcycled items and cast-off furniture. the proximity of neighboring properties was also a disappointment, as the website made it seem more secluded.

This place is located in a serene area, and it's close to Larkhall Golf Club, which is great for a peaceful atmosphere, and John the host went out of his way to make our stay comfortable.

What a hidden gem of a place! My stay at this tranquil countryside apartment was simply magical. The surroundings were breathtaking, and the hosts, John and Dagmara, were incredibly welcoming. The private balcony overlooking the beautiful gardens and valley views was a treat. The stunning bathroom with the lush lighting and candles created such a calming atmosphere. And let me not forget the amazingly comfortable bed—I had the best night's sleep! The little kitchen had everything I needed, and the BBQ and fire pit outside were such lovely touches. Only 30 minutes away from Glasgow, it's the perfect location for a peaceful getaway. I had a fantastic experience and will definitely be returning. Highly recommended!

If I have to be nitpicky, the kitchen area was a bit small, but honestly, it didn't bother me as I didn't need to cook much during my stay. Additionally, the sofas weren't the comfiest, but I was more than happy to relax at the dining area instead.

The Retreat Tranquil Countryside was the perfect location for a peaceful and private getaway. the apartment itself was warm, comfortable, and spacious enough for a couple and two dogs. the highlight was definitely the amazing bathroom. the patio with a heater was a lovely touch, especially on chilly nights. John, the host, was informative and kind, making us feel welcomed. the dogs were allowed to roam freely and the BBQ and fire pit added to the overall experience. We can't wait to return for a longer break. Cons: It was all superb! 👌.
